Loose connector behind my grill? Anyone know what it should be connected to?

I saw this connector whilst I was putting something into my Shuttle. I fished it out as it is not connected to anything. There doesn't appear to be anything to connect it to. Anyone any ideas please? No fault lights on my dash. It doesn't reach the sensor.

I just had the wife sit in the drivers seat whilst I moved a paddle in front of each front sensor one at a time. Each sensor triggered individually, so I assume it isn't a loose connector.

Editor: Can anyone help with diagnosing the connector please, as it appears to have split, see the second image, the black line on the left. I wonder if it split which is why is has worked loose. EDIT _ Got ONE!!

Ambient temperature sensor, should be attached to a bracket behind the support that is behind the grille. The sensor is actually still attached to the connector in your picture - it has just come loose from it's bracket but wires are still connected to the sensor.

I love this Forum!! Many thanks.

Obvious next question, can I get to it without having to take any under trays or bumper off?

Best off just having a look through and see if there is anything obvious. I had my bumper off anyway when I noticed it wasn't in. Have to put it in at an angle and get two of the clips home first. I found it too hard to try and put it in square.

Sorted! There appears to be a hole with a slight opening to get the wire through. Not sure if the temp sensor should go up into the holder of come from above. I just pushed through from underneath the hole with my fingers through the grill and pushed it home.

Found that all but two of the vertical grill fins have come loose from the lower edge so have super glued them in. May look at getting a new grill.
