Lining Carpet - Alternatives to mega stretch? Harder wearing?

I've used mega stretch carpet lining (or equivalents) many times to carpet the inside of vans. It does a great job due to it's stretch and coverage.

The only downside I find is, if it gets rubbed against frequently then it tends to bobble.

I need to carpet my new van but am only going to cover the ply panels, so I don't need the super stretchy stuff. Does anyone have any recommendations for harder wearing stuff? It doesn't need to be so stretchy.

Thanks

I had the same issues and I got some really good quality carpet from Exploria which is much better quality and harder wearing. It's not the 4 x stretch stuff so it's harder to work with but won't be an issue for just panels, if your not near them they may tell you where to sourse it

Try Martrim Auto Upholstery Wholesaler UK - British Car Trimming Supplies & Material Sales., D&M Middleton Vehicle Linings - Your One Stop Shop For High Quality Vehicle Linings or Harrison's Trim Van Seat Upholstery & Mats | Harrison's Trim Supplies

I think all of these stock both stretch and conventional lining carpet.

Whatever you use don't skimp on the adhesive, use the best high temperature version that you can get and budget for far more than you think in the first place. I've used well over £100 worth from Martrim doing a full fit-out of a LWB High-top, this is my 5th conversion so I speak from a little experience. Obviously you will use less on a SWB pop-top but never be mean with it.

PS I prefer the conventional lining carpet although it's harder to manage around shapes.
