So... our fridge won't turn on and the Euro socket is flashing red. Off to a Spanish dealer to get ignored again...

You're certainly giving your van a test on this trip, I've seen a few thread of issues so far. It's all part of the adventure I guess I hope it works out for you and doesn't mean cutting the holidays short.

Only six days left; I think its probably related to the auto boot latch failure; maybe a fuse has blown. It's been doing weird things for a few days. A little unimpressed; hoping VW asssist/VW do better than the last time we tried to use them. I'm not feeling optimistic...

Do you have much of a language barrier with them or do VW assist help with That?

No use; can't see us for a week, etc.
Basically VW Assist is USELESS anywhere abroad (except some parts of France).
We think the main leisure battery is faulty; it then switches to the second one and all is okay (ish) running the engine sorts it too.

So no emergency but annoying and I'll be speaking to VW Head Office about their useless Euro assistance when I get back.

I thought my electrics had gone yesterday...rear view camera wouldn't work, then the lights wouldn't come on when we got back to the van from the beach...turns out my make up bag had knocked against the switch on the leccy panel and turned it off...ha ha...

Hope you can manage ok until you get home...its so frustrating when things go wrong, especially when you pay so much for something, it should be right!

The 2 leisure batteries are connected together but the rear leisure battery has a Post fuse right where the cable attaches to it.

Is your camper control panel functioning?

It is but we've had some strange readings; the roof up/down sign has flashed a few times (manual says it's when it overheats and can be reset but still odd), the battery appeared to run flat too quickly and has also flashed a couple of times. The Euro socket behind the passenger seats (the 12v one) is also flashing red; that's where we charge phones/Macs/etc so pretty essential.

Just driven 30 odd miles and it seems okay.

I reckon it's a faulty main leisure battery; the intermittent auto latching boot failure may have thrown an electrical wobbly.
