leisure battery - phone charge calculator

Hi all,
This is a silly question i know, but i cant get my head around it.
Basically, how many full charges (roughly) can my 110ah AMG battery charge a phone? Or such like?

Im off wild camping for a few days and i was wondering how long the battery will last. I'll only be using it for charging items, phones etc.

i know the calculation (watts/voltage = Amps and divide by the battery Ah) I just cant figure a phone charge out?

Any advice welcome,

Thank You

My iPhone 12 mini has a 2.2 Ah battery apparently.
If we assume we dont want to deplete the leisure battery by more than 50%, then it has a usable capacity of 55Ah

55 divided by 2.2 is 25, so 25 full recharges.

It's not always obvious to find something like a phone battery capacity but my iPhone seems to have 1821mAh at 3.82v, giving 1.821*3.82=6.96Wh (Watt hours). A 110Ah leisure battery at 12v has about 110*12=1320Wh. Therefore, the leisure battery stores 1320/6.96 = 190 times the energy of my phone battery. Therefore, assuming perfect efficiency (unrealistic) and running the leisure battery down to zero (very unwise!), you could theoretically charge my phone about 190 times from that leisure battery. In general, this means that things like charging phones are very light loads for a decent leisure battery, things like fridges present much heavier load.

You need to factor in the difference in voltage, your phone battery is very unlikely to be at 12v.

Good point. I blame my second Covid jab kicking in

12v is 2.4 times 5v, so about 25 * 2.4 = 60 times to get to 50% depletion.

That’s a good enough engineering approximation for me.

Thank you all.
Really appreciate it, as always.
I do love the transporter community .

I think last time i metered out the ah for the 12v - USB phone charger it was very low... (12v Ah metered for the 12v plug i USB charger)

0.5 to 1.0Ah for a full charge of a samsung S10.

So as above...

100Ah battery.

50% DOD is 50Ah...

50Ah ÷ 0.5ah/1.0ah

100 - 50 full charge cycles.
