Leaking side sliding windows – best flush sliding replacements?

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the forum and looking for some advice. Both of the sliding side windows on my T6 are leaking, so I’m planning to replace them.

I’d like to stick with flush sliding windows as I prefer the look, but want something reliable that won’t leak like the originals.

What brands are people recommending at the moment?

Interested to hear what others have fitted and how they’ve held up over time.

You’re definitely not alone with this—flush sliders seem to have a bit of a reputation for leaking over time. They look spot on, but practicality can sometimes let them down.

If you’re planning to swap them out, it really depends what matters more to you. The flush style is nice and clean visually, but the standard recessed sliders tend to be more reliable when it comes to keeping water out.

Also worth keeping in mind it’s not always the window itself—poor fitting or seals can be the real culprit in some cases.

Personally, I’d lean towards something that’s proven to stay dry rather than just going for the look. Once water starts getting in, it quickly becomes a pain to deal with.

Sliding windows aren’t secure, less than a minute to get in without tools and it doesn’t activate the alarm.

Most people seem to go for the THQ/Camperglass units.
I replaced my factory sliders with them but sold the van a few months later so I can't comment on the longevity of them.
One thing to bare in mind though is that the window aperture is slightly smaller.

Sliding windows aren’t secure, less than a minute to get in without tools and it doesn’t activate the alarm.

Although the alarm will activate as soon as the ‘intruder’ starts moving inside the van though! If my dogs are anything to go by when I haven’t double-clicked the remote!

If they move into the cab area, otherwise it won’t sound.

Mine set it off when they’re clipped in, sat on the rear seat. Not really sure what to tell you?
