We find somtimes around 55mph our LR (2.4) splutters as if fuel starvation. Any thoughts please. Fuel filter?

too much wine ... sorry guys. Well done DaveD, yes my Defender is playing up. The post was meant for the Defender2 forum.
Well don’t leave us in the dark.. what’s happening with it?

On my 10plate 2.4 I had a similar issue and it was the MAF, quite cheap and easy fix, about £60 if I recall. Defender 2 should confirm and tell you how to test.

Our old disco developed a misfire due to oil in the injector loom.

So changed the fuel filter, great improvement. It was like driving a different car.

But after a few days it appears to be loosing power. ... good old LR!

If you want to go into the jungle take a Land Rover.
If you want to get out of the jungle take a Land Cruiser.

I know a few people with Landys and mostly they are fixing them!

That might suggest contaminated fuel, your old filter got clogged, causing rough running / fuel starvation. Fuel filter replaced, runs fine until that filter becomes contaminated over a short period of time.
