Kerb damage on Alloys....

Rub the scuffs out with Emery cloth and carry on driving.

Referb them when they are totally smashed up.
Real world advice. Maybe whack them with a clear coat from a rattle can after you’ve rubbed the scuff out to help them last a bit longer before refurb!

I paid £105 to get a slight kerbing repaired and the wheel powder coated (it wasn’t diamond cut, but I think the price would be the same if you went for an all-over coating). That would be quite a bill for all 4 wheels, so you might want to get it refurbed with the same finish. Using different wheels for winter might keep the white worm at bay longer.

Mrs D kerbed a wheel on a literally brand new set of diamond cut alloys I bought for her Golf , fitted just 3 hours on enquiring with a couple of refurb places diamond cut are expensive to machine back and only if there is enough material to do so, costs were £100-£120 . For comparison I had a whole set of 4 19” BMW wheels powder coated for £380 with colour change.

I just as above stated rubbed the damage with emery so it looked less , MrsD has since kerbed them twice more . Never again with diamond cut wheels and Mrs D is on her final warning improvement notice
