Kenwood Head unit question

Hi guys I've brought a kenwood dnx 9190dab and been told that for park pilot to operate on this it has to be coded...can this be done by vagcom?

Also I'll be removing my discovery navigation to sell, if there security that needs disabled or will it just fit no probs to another vehicle?

not sure on the ParkPilot. . . . .


but AFAIK the Discovery radio would need to be unpaired from the vans "component protection" and put back to "virgin mode" before it can be "re-paired" to another vans component protection. - - - this is all dealer level stuff and will cost, thats if they will even do it for you.?


there may be a 3rd party hack now days, but im not sure.

Component protection can be removed now, but thats the extent of my knowledge.Will need to do a search of that faceache site.

@Absolut5 fitted my 9190, all the parking/camera/speedo stuff works as before.

These guys do CP removal - Audi VW Retrofit – South West

It used to cost £159 with postage etc, may have gone down now.
