Kenwood DNX5190DABS

I’ve just had the more expensive model fitted. With the KENWOOD camera. It all depends on what you are used to.
With the right harnesses, everything still works as normal..

I‘ve got the 8019, everything on steering wheel works apart from Siri, have to press and hold on the screen for that. Visual display of parking sensors works fine, but I have an aftermarket reversing camera so can’t speak for that

Hi Im in the process of installing, the dabs aerial didn't seem to pickup very well(drop outs in signal) so ran a roof one instead, still testing but no drop outs yet
what im trying to get working is some after market steering wheel buttons, any ideas on what i should be connecting to get them to work

Did you not get a hardness to fit ? Or are you trying to fit the buttons into the wheel (non standard)

trying to fit buttons onto steering wheel
XISEDO Steering Wheel buttons
they have ACC ground key1 key2 aerial
i have connected ACC to yellow ground to black key1 to blue/yellow(steering wheel remote input)
on the head unit under "settings" - "user interface" there is a greyed out option called "steering remote controller"
if i press a button i can see the XISEDO unit flashing so receiving a signal, but nothing on head unit and option is still greyed
also the XISEDO as a 3.3 or 5v feed option
unsure what im missing, or the XISEDO is not suitable

Good morning all,

I am planning to upgrade my entertainment unit from the standard composition unit to a Kenwood DNX5190DABS which seems to have good reviews. Has anyone installed one in their vans and if so, did you have any issues. My main concern is the loss of any of the features from the steering wheel, reversing camera, etc.

Kenwood DNX5190DABS 6.8" AV Navigation System with Android Auto, Apple

Thanks in advance - Richard.
Drop us a pm, as we can supply as a plug and play solution, retaining parking sensors, mfsw and displays the Garmin nav on the mfd (coding is required for the nav directions)
