Hi guys,
I’m moving on my Kenwood Head Unit - DMX8021DABS - due to changing it for an Alpine Halo.
The unit comes with all relevant cables, connectors & fascia to go straight into a T6 and will work with the MFSW. The unit is Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay compatible.
It was originally fitted by the guys @Absolut5 a couple of years ago, and so you can be sure it comes with everything required to work with the T6 straight out of the box.
Please Read:
The unit is second hand, well used at 2 years old, & is not in perfect condition. The below points were my reasons for changing the unit out & any buyer should be aware of them before potentially purchasing:
1) There is fair amount of dust behind the screen. It’s really not that noticeable when in use but it definitely is noticeable when it’s not turned on & set against a black screen. I tried to use an air duster to clean it out and accidentally made it worse, than if I had just left it alone.
2) The backlights for the lower control buttons do not work. An overzealous window tinter managed to get some water on them & they slowly faded out to nothing over the space of a week or two thereafter. This was around 18 months ago & the unit works perfectly in its operation & doesn’t have any other glitches or issues due to the mist caused from the work done.
3) The fascia for the unit has a small mark where the factory coating has come away slightly. I will add a photo of that below along with everything else so it can all be seen.
Due to the above issues, I’ll be happy to accept a largely reduced amount of money for it. If it were second hand & in great condition I think £300 would be fair enough being that it comes with all of the parts to make it plug & play.
As it isn’t in great condition, I’ll put it up for sale for £130 plus postage. I would much rather a collection if I’m honest due to a lack of time my side to get it properly packaged up & sent out, but I will be able to get it done if needs be, just be aware it might be a few days after it being bought before I can get in to a Post Office.
