hello just wondering is the 150bhp van a remapped 202bhp with the same engine components. Are they both Biturbo

I believe the 180 and 204 are the same construction.

180 & 204 are bi turbo and both are different engines.

All Euro 6 engines are ea288. The bi turbo ea288 is different for the single turbo variants.

Also bi turbos are different sizes and in series with each other. Twin turbos are identical turbos on different manifolds.

The old 180 and new 204 are both 2.0 bi (not twin) turbo diesels but are very different.
Otherwise I wouldn't have bought a T6; our 180 was a PITA.
One is intercooled, the other charge cooled, totally different emissions control systems and they look totally different too.

The old EA189 was just in the Amarok and T5.1, the new one used in all sorts of VW cars; the extra refinement shows this.

The new 204 engine is a peach. Smooth, Quiet & Very Torquey.

Switch 'coasting' on (DSG) & with an easy right foot it can be pretty frugal too - for a box on wheels!

Have a read of this;
