ipod wont work

I have just tried my iPod in y loan van and it say not compatible .
I have ordered media control and app connect on my van ,thinking this would control my iPod .
I think I should of gone for the USB interface ,for iPod/iPhone .
Any one got an iPod connected ,if so how ?

Mine plugs into USB on dash no probs

If you order app connect and the discover, the USB iPod interface is automatically added. Mine works, but it is a bit shit, too laggy and you have to connect with the USB lead. The blue tooth connection works better in my opinion.
