Is there any way of turning this off? Our leisure battery ran flat (everything still worked; just the control panel that told us!) and I'm wondering if this pesky light might have contributed. We leave the boot open a lot when it's hot, which it has been almost all holiday but this turns it on; it might be California only as it mounted on the side of the cupboard.

no from the outside, but if I open the cupboard and lift the shelf up I can see the water as it gets to the top through the translucent tank.
Ooh cunning idea; I just wait until it spills out.
We've had a couple of comedy moments filling up at fuel garages; their water is often next to the air and fills at about a litre per hour (slight exaggeration...) . Takes FOREVER to fill the tank, a solar shower and our camping water tank!
