Insure then modify one month later

How have you dealt with the issue that you plan to drive the new van for a month unmodified then modify it a month later and add £10k modification? Is there a trick to making this simple and cost effective?

depends on the mod. as long as it's not power/speed related, someone like Brentacre will cover all mods for free

Some insurers offer a camper conversion policy, if that’s what you are going to do.
You have to convert within 12 months.
