Hi everyone,
I’m looking to install a 12V cigarette/power socket in my 2009 VW T5, but I’d like it to only be live when the ignition is on.
I’m considering tapping into a fuse for this. I already have a radio connected to SB19, and I was wondering if SC23 might be a suitable option. I haven’t tested whether SC23 is ignition-switched or permanently live yet.
Has anyone used SC23 for something similar, or could confirm if it’s ignition-switched, or even suitable?
According to Fuse Box Diagram Volkswagen Transporter (T5; 2003-2009) SC23 is:
Operating and display unit for camping equipment
Auxiliary heater operating and display unit
Residual heat relay
Remote control receiver for auxiliary coolant heater
Thanks in advance!
