The correct method for inserting a picture into your post is shown below.

From the thread window you will see a button on the lower right of the screen labelled 'upload a file'
Clicking this will open a window on your phone/computer for you to navigate to your selected picture, highlight it and click open
The file will upload then you will see it listed at the bottom of your text entry screen.
Place the cursor at the point in your post you would like to see the picture and then click "Thumbnail" or "Full Image" based on if you want your image to appear large or small

In the example below I have inserted as a thumbnail followed by the full image

Struggled to do this with my phone attached to laptop.

Realised you need to move the image from your phone to PC before it can be uploaded> thought this may help others.

It would be useful to put a reminder here as to how you insert links to pictures hosted elsewhere e.g. imgbb.com etc.
I only ask as I have done it on a couple of threads here, but can't for the life of me remember how I do it again !

    Thanks,

    Pete

Yes, tried that, but when I paste the URL given to me by imgbb it doesn't appear.
As I said above, I have done it before, but can't get it to work now.

I’m beginning to think that the issue is imgbb. It’s giving me completely different format URLs to embed, compared to other recent ones.

If you are having issues then there isn’t actually any need to use a third party site we host all our own photos so you can upload directly to the forum if desired

Hi, almost ready to upload a few shots of our camper, just one question, does (file) size matter?

Just one more question! I notice you guys don't seem to worry about reg no's. showing.
On lots of car sites, people go to great lengths to hide them.
    Any pros and cons?

The maximum upload file size is 10MB
The forum will automatically scale down/reduce resolution on any overly large file sizes

Thanks for the information, the forum has been well structured to deal with resolution/size issues.
Not sure how to interpret your comment Pukka,
    I personally embrace any technology.

Sorry mate but uploading an image is literally the easiest thing to do.

My mum would probably struggle to do it but then again I caught her getting angry at her amazon echo, shouting ‘Adele, Adele, oh this f#*king things broke’ lmao

Thanks Pukka, If you re-read my original post you may (or may not) understand the question about file size, It was not a request on how to upload an image.
I did get a succinct reply from Pauly that cleared the technical side of things up.
It's a shame that a new member to the forum has become ammunition for your misguided chance of belittling someone.
Hoping things can only get better.
