Inovit Revolve wheels 20"

There is a pic I posted on the Team Grey thread.
Revolve are rated at 825kg.. so unfortunatly no good for T32.

These wheels are previously known as:
MGM Mania

Hi Fish, can you pos send the link? Can't find it anywhere... I have been told they are fine for a t32. If they were 825kg a corner then that adds up to 3300kg. Is that not how it works??

@Dannywilds. It is all about axle loadings and the rear axle laden weights are given in the VW Brochure and relevant handbooks. Because vehicle wheels are often in sets of 4 then each must have the same loading capacity (don't forget the spare too). That's a short answer to your question, hope that it helps. Edited. Brochure shows Euro6 T32 rear axle max loading is 1720kgs so each wheel must be rated at a minimum 860kgs.

@Fish I looked up the weights and edited my post. Like you , I was sure that 860kgs was the minimum rating for the T32 range rear axle wheels as a rule of thumb (I recall there is an exception that is higher).:thumbsup::)

OK guys thanks. Sorry if I'm repeating previous conversations but does it really matter if I don't ever load my van right up to the max anyway? Does it affect the insurance or something?

Voids any insurance buddy.. first thing please will pick up on are mods.. and the other insurance will go to town.. let alone your van insurance wont pay out.. even if you delare them... they are under weight rate, thats all they will hear..

@Dannywilds There are two aspects here, neither of which are good news. Firstly, to fit wheels with less than a load rating of 860kgs when the vehicle is "plated" at 3200kgs is a breach of DoT/Construction & Use regulations and can lead to prosecution. Secondly the insurance would be invalidated and, in the event of an accident, all sorts of grief can ensue for you. I believe that you can get the vehicle "down-plated" to a T30 or even T28 but that affects other matters also. My advice, for what it's worth, is to find wheels that you like load rated at 860kgs.

The other problem is the MOT. On a T32 the wheels form part of the test, and have to have their weight stamp on the wheel. Front axle is rated to 1710kg (therefore 855kg), and rear axle is 1720kg (therefore 860kg). If you were to be involved in a serious collision, there would be a problem if the vehicle inspectors found non-rated wheels on the van - regardless of the weight you are carrying. It could be chalked as being a "contributory factor".

I have been looking at these exact same rims and had planned on calling some dealers. This is because all of the websites I have looked at indicate it as being suitable for T32, but I'd double check and get them to tell me exactly what the weight rating is.
As to pictures, if you go to google images and put in "transporter inovit revolve" it will bring up a picture of a white T5 and blue T4 with these wheels on.

How are wheels rims certificated, is the rating stamped on the rim for proof and mot purposes ?

Thanks. Looked at the t4 and t5 earlier today. This is really annoying as I can't find wheels I like with the correct load rating.

That is my understanding, not sure exactly where, hoping someone can give a definitive answer so that when I go shopping I will know for sure for myself rather than taking the dealers word for it. The biggest issue being that some websites claim load rated, when others don't - for the exact same wheel.

My old 20" Range Rover alloys were stamped, not sure if this is mandatory though.

Can be anywhere, can be cast into the reverse face of a spoke or into the inner rim.. no set place is set.

Hi There,

I work for Inovit Ltd, and the Inovit Revolve is one of our wheels - it is load rated to 880kg, not 825kg so i'm not sure where that information has come from. Probably some false information supplied to you. Just wanted to clear that up. 880kg stamped in the back of the wheels too.
