Hi,

As per the title, anyone recommend a VW specialist for servicing / repairs in the West Mids / South Staffs?

My 204 / DSG is just 4 years old this month but has only done 27k, its got a flexible service schedule and nothing is showing, but I could do with some advice on whether the timing belt and or DSG oil need replacing due to age, rather than mileage.

Cheers!

Second vote for midland Vw. I’ve travelled up from Oxford for them to do work on my van

Hello all, looking for advice on servicing, purchased my camper last June from Danbury in Yate, they informed me the service was up todate and I had no reason to doubt this, I haven't had any problems whatsoever but I do like to ensure my vehicles are well looked after etc. last week I contacted Greenhous Bilston in order to arrange a service as my VW warranty comes to an end at May monthend and I also wanted a service to ensure things were in order and up todate. Greenhous advised there vehicle doesn't appear to have a VW service record but that this is not unusual as Danbury would have likely carried out their own servicing and that it would not be recorded on VW's system if this was the case. Unfortunately Danbury of Yate are no longer trading so I cannot query this, my van has only covered 14500 miles since it was first registered and was converted from a new vehicle by Danbury.

My question is can anyone recommend a main agent for servicing in my area, Worcester, kidderminster, Wolverhampton areas. Since booking my vehicle in with Greenhous for a May service and MOT I have seen some not so good reports on them, does anyone recommend them or have any experience with them. Advice would be appreciated.

Yes as above mine was serviced last week by them. Good bunch of guys who know their stuff. don't think any main dealers get positive reviews.

I also have a Danbury camper.
I understood that all sales and service records were transferred to the new Danbury Campervans and they would honor warranties.
It seems covid has got in the way, but I hope to visit them before my Danbury warranty expires next January.

I didn’t know that, so thank you, I haven’t had the slightest problem though, my VW warranty runs out on May 25th that’s why I’m keen to get the service and MOT in prior to the expiry. Enjoy your Danbury.

Service and first MOT has been done at Listers Droitwich, all completed while I waited, very happy with the work done and the price paid. While the work was carried out I requested the sliding door handle checked as it appeared loose to me.
A new handle has been ordered and arrangements to fit it have been made for later this month, a courtesy vehicle is being provided while the work is carried out. Very happy with listers and the care they have taken.
