Hi Folks, appreciate a bit of advice on wheels/Tyres.

Just bought a set of VW Amarok 18" 7.5j wheels with delivery mileage on ebay for a great price. But they have 255/60 Tyres, as opposed to standard 215/65. This gives a bigger rolling radius and speedo will be about 10% out. Is this 'legal'? Are there any issues I need to be concerned about other than speedo will out - I'll be doing 66mph when speedo reads 60.

No legal issue regarding speedo readings, use your phone satnav to confirm.

Just check the tyres are load rated for your van, T30 850kg’s and T32 860kg’s per corner (102 + 103)

I think I will just sell the Amarok tyres and replace. I understand that a 235/50 or a 255/45 will closest to standard. I’ll probably go for the higher profile as fed up with pothole damage.

They'll be little to no difference in actual sidewall height as this is determined as a percentage of the width, if you do the maths there's about 3mm in it.

We only fit the 255/45 regardless of weight rating. Better looking tyres IMHO

After a lot of research, I went 245 50 on my 18 inch amarok wheels. Nexen Nfera su1 104 rating for my t32

Evening bud, I run amaroks and 255/60 will fit in the arch but will rub and even worse cause damage to the bodywork when on lock and suspension compressed.
Biggest you can run without issues are 235/60 20200912_154314.jpg
