Hi all,

Just joined the forum with a view to converting a LWB T6 into a day van / camper. I want to start getting all the info I need so I can crack on when it arrives. Hope you don't mind helping ? :)

In what order do you convert your van ?? Electrics first, windows, insulation, paneling ?? Don't think I'm going to have a stove, sink, lots of storage units, etc, just a large raised bed at the back so I can store a bike underneath on a pull out shelf system.

Cheers

Its subjective but there is a lot of information on here. I would say plan it out on paper first, and draw up your purchase lists for each stage. If i were converting my van myself i would start with the windows and then pop top (if i was having a pop top). Get all the cutting done first. Then sound deadening and insulation followed by electrics, plumbing and carpet lining. furniture to go in last.

Just my thoughts.

No worries. There are loads of self build threads, here is one of the most recent, Just Bought A T6 Panelvan - Selfbuilding A Camper - Making Videos To Help Those That Are Interested.

Yeah, I'm fairly confident with most of the build, it's just the electrics that are daunting. Especially with the T6 intelligent alternator thingy. I like having a go at things myself, but might have to get a professional to do that. That's why I asked which way round to do things, it'd be no good me doing everything else first, just to be told I should have done the electrics first........doh !! :(
