Anyone used ikea/b&q units for a conversion?
cant really afford evo flatpack etc, im pretty handy with the tools so cutting down units to fit shouldn't be too much of a problem, however will the extra weight of the mdf or chipboard cause problems? there is obviously a reason they use lightweight plywood, but 1k plus is a bit out of my budget.

We used Ikea units in a previous conversion, self build, the darker kitchen base units were ok but started to show a bit of wear n tear after a couple of years.

We also had a few pieces of Zebrano lightweight ply cut to size from Clearcut conversions for a top and some fronts at a reasonable price, they came by courier and all delivered ok.

Good luck with your conversion.
