How To Remove Wing Mirror Panel Cover?

My cover keeps popping off due to the door opening beyond the stopper on the hinge, due to the fact my son allowed the door to swing open downhill on a windy day....so now the door opens continuously. Any way that's another fix
So the cover pops off because the clip is broke
I have a new clip... question is any tips or advice on how to remove to replace?

Have you tried asking your son to open the door and see if he can knock it off again?

That will be this bit then . . . .




open the door wide and have look just by the hinge section, your see the yellow pop stud and black tabs.

use a plastic trim tool though!!!

So that clip did not want to come out!!!! Got there. New one in, cover not flapping around when I open the door = happy again well got to fix hinge next £65 for the part but is it DIY able?

seems to be DIY.

looks to be part of the lower hing assembly. . . . . trickiest bit will be getting the door/shut lines correct.

i dug these out for you as a guide . . . .

Tbh the door was able to open further giving me better access
