Hooks for guy ropes (attached to wheels)

Hi,
has anyone thrown over their guy ropes from a drive-away awning (we have an outdoor revolution on a T6) and then attached to the wheels ?

I'm thinking there must be some sort of double hook that could attach to the spokes of my allys (with appropriate protection !)

Although I may have a solution and use suction cups

Have you decided against a channel and a kador strip?

Got a magnetic Kadar strip but the lines over the top are a precaution in wind ..
Also got some extra magnets that hold it all tight so should be good .. pics will follow after campervan campout next weekend

A few of us use this channel to connect, avoiding the need for throw-over. Invisible from the ground. Had throw-over on my last van - the channel is far better. My awning and canopy are both Outdoor Rev.

Sorry - resurrecting a slightly old thread. So those fixings are just the roof rack mount points? I Don't get my van until next week so not familiar with all the nooks and crannies yet. An awning is going to be a must with two dogs and a 14 year old - I was considering throw over straps but am hearing a few complaints that they're not the most secure.

for the time being straps over the roof are fine they only hold the tunnel in place all my awnings have stayed up without attchment to the van when required

Cheers - good to know. I've been looking up those channels - possibly for slightly further down the line but I need to keep an eye on the big number at the bottom of the spreadsheet as I just add all these extra little nice to have bits in!

An awning rail is an essential bit of kit in my book. Probably the only thing that’s used every time we camp either for an awning or a sun/rain canopy. You can’t use the straps for a canopy and that’s the second most used thing we take
