I would have thought ownership would be pretty much the same. After all, JEEP stands for Just Empty Every Pocket.

I had a Jeep Cherokee Sport for a number of years running on LPG and have to say compared to VW it was faultless

4Motion SWB would be the best tool for any off road work with either razed suspension or adjustable suspension. The SWB has a poor enough ramp over as it is the LWB far too long one would need to be more picky where it would be taken. A couple of sets of wheels so that you a do not wear out the off road set too quickly and another set for sanity unless your def or otherwise sensory deprived. Suggest AS tyres for the second set. They are reasonable off road but more importantly far better on it. Either Michelin CC3 or Perelli probably the best AS at the moment. Can find 4Motion vehicles with rear Diff / Lock if you look.
