Help! Halo 9 not switching off!

Hi, I installed a Alpine Halo F903D at the weekend all good apart from a couple of dab issues but now the unit won’t turn off after exiting the vehicle, I think and error message came up on it before saying ‘can error’ but went away quickly so didn’t see properly

Any advice? Thanks

Sounds like an issue with the Canbus Connect2 module. I've never seen a Canbus error. Do the steering wheel controls work? If not there's an issue with the unit or wiring (not too helpful, I know).

In settings, there's a 'pre-ignition timer' which keeps the unit on after the ignition is turned off. Set this to 0 to have it turn off straight away. Default is something like 120 seconds.

Well, exactly the same happened to me when I installed an Alpine Halo 11 and CAN Interface. It was nuts, unlock the doors, radio comes on.

Buried very deep in the CAN Interface settings was a parameter 'Pre-Ignition' and was set to 30 seconds. I set this to zero and the problem went away. It's not on Google anywhere, or any of the instructions. I would venture to suggest there is some similar parameter in Sony Canbus adapter.

Thank you for the reply! It’s all working again just plugged out and in again, I’m not sure why it wasn’t, all the steering controls work except the phone button?
