Help - First Night In Campervan This Saturday - But Where??

Hey guys just after a bit of inspiration here. We're driving down to Surrey on Saturday to pick up our van and rather than drive all the way back to Newcastle we're thinking of spending a night in the van to break the journey. Our thoughts are round the Peak District for a stop over, seems about half way..

Can anyone recommend somewhere, a cool spot to wake up to? Preferably somewhere wild, so I can look like a first time camper (probably making lots of mistakes!) away from the public eye of a packed campsite !!!

We’ve used this site in the Peak District a few times:- Caravans and camping Peak District: Upper Hurst Farm

It’s quite a small site but immaculate and very friendly with a pub (The Manifold Inn) within walking distance.

Thanks @Davenjo looks a nice place. We found a pub in the end (no surprise there!!) it allows campervans overnight and it's free, other than the food and drink we'll no doubt be purchasing!!

I think Monsal Head car park is free overnight, cracking view, and a pub next door.

We stayed at The Carpenter's Arms
Carpenters Arms - Brit Stops & Camping
Food reviews weren't the best, people saying its just basic pub grub etc, which it was, but we loved it, no complaints, super friendly staff and we'd stop there again
