Head unit upgrade (Manchester area)

Hi all,

The touchscreen on my head unit is starting to play up so I am contemplating upgrading the head unit, it seems the Alpine and Kenwood units are popular upgrades. Does anyone know of any good fitters around Manchester area?

Not Manchester exactly but @Dav-Tec isn’t too far away in Chesterfield and they did a great job. I travelled there from Liverpool, you can sit in the waiting room while the work’s being done.

Nope not yet! I am still living with the sticky touchscreen atm

I vaguely remember reaching out to West Yorkshire VAG Solutions and they’ve offered to help. They initially enabled the CarPlay on my system. I think I was debating whether to upgrade unit altogether rather than trying to fix it.

My head unit touch screen won't even find radio 1, or save any presets and it keeps defaulting to BBC News whereby you can't get anything else and it won't let touch anything because there is nothing to select. Does anyone have an idea, of what I can replace this thing with, the cost doesn't matter, or what shall I do to mend it. It will still play DVD's but then it sticks so you can't change the settings. GRrrrrr
