Head Unit Bluetooth Issue

Hi, I have a '17 plate LWB Highline and I'm having an issue with my head unit. I'm not sure which model it is but assume that they were all the same? About a 4" screen?
Anyway, when using Bluetooth to stream music from my phone it is usually OK but then, every now and then, it will drop the connection and display says 'connection cancelled' this is immediately followed by the unit 're-establishing' the connection. On drive back from Scotland last weekend it dropped the connection about 50 times. It's annoying!
I've put the van in to have it checked as it's under warranty but they say that they can't find anything wrong. It's intermittent so I'm not surprised they couldn't find anything in a brief test.
Anyway, anyone else experienced the same problem? I'd like to tell VW that others are complaining of similar if that is the case.
TIA.

Which phone and which headunit bud?

My iPhone X and Discover head unit often connect/disconnect when using the usb lead and Carplay, no issues via bluetooth though.

No problems with ours . . . ?

Have you tried a different phone/device/tablet to connect to the head-unit and retest?

also where is your phone compared to the head-unit? the Bluetooth signal can easily be blocked if its too far away, in a cubby hole, in your pocket or surrounded by metalic things....

VW have tested it and say there's nothing wrong with it. Let's see how we get on during a long journey.
The phone usually sits in the try directly above the head unit so there shouldn't be an 'obstruction' issues.
My wife's iphone refused to connect at all, but today when she picked the van up it has connected so again, we'll see how we go.
If the problem persists it is just frustrating that you take it back under warranty and VW say "there's nothing wrong!" - then why have I taken my time to bring it back?? Anyway, rant over, I just hope that it's healed itself.
Thanks for taking the time to offer your advice @Dellmassive.

I had exactly the same issue about a year ago after an IOS update. I took it into the dealers, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong, but installed the latest software on the head unit. Guess what? Not a problem since. I'd take it in and ask for the software updating.

Thanks @Scruffy. I've got the van back from the dealers now. My wife's iphone has hooked up for the first time so I'm hoping that might be a sign of improvement. A two week trip through France will tell us. Cheers.
