Hazard Light Switch

Coming home tonight from Built Wells in the rain so turned the lights on and I noticed the Hazard light warning switch was lit up. They were not on so I thought it might be a fault with it. When I got home and turned the lights off and enginge the switch remained lit, it wet out when it locked the van. Is this normal ?

My hazard warning switch lights up when dipped lights are on, which is where I look to check if the lights are on ( have auto lights and there is no light on the dash to show dipped), sure that it goes off when lights ard turned off.
