Hardwire cruise elegance fridge

Been a while since I've posted. Hoping some friendly knowledgeable folk on here can help me out.

The fridge has dual power so can pull from 12v or 240v when van connected to mains.

It came with a 2 pin euro plug that I want to remove, doesn't look like it is fused. Ideally i would prefer not to put a 3 pin plug on and simply have it hardwired to my 240v wiring.

Is it a case of taking the plug head off and connecting or will I need to use an inline fuse or anything?

Do you need to connect it to the 240v supply as well? Just use the 12v connection as the 240v hookup will be recharging your battery as the fridge uses it anyway when hooked up.

I was going to connect to 240v too. Saying that I ran it last year just connected to 12v.

Is it not better to have it direct 240v and save it going through battery or does that not makea difference to the battery?
