So second voyage in new van and have been experiencing gps signal loss on Google maps. Seems fine on phone until I plug it into the van for Android auto. Have composition media not discovery nav but is it using an antenna on the van still?

I thought android auto was just the phone using the Sat nav as a screen ( at its most basic)
So I believe the Google maps is coming from the phone and using the phones GPS receiver.
Where are you placing the phone? And does it have a clear view of the sky?
Fyi the vans GPS antenna is inside the side veiw mirror housing.
