Decisions decisions. First is whether to go gloss or white side bars? Then need to decide on OEM or trapezoid?

Any pictures of white black and white themed vans would be welcomed!

Satin black side bars all the way !! White would be a disaster ,as over time the front ands of the tubes will get peppered from stones resulting in rust .
I've have black satin side bars on mine fitted new when we bought a newly converted kombi van , and in 14 months the front bends are looking quite shabby !!

That my wite van with matt black trapezoid side bards. Hard to see them really, hope that helps though

Is there any point in side bars ? You can’t see yours and it sound like most of them rust in a couple years . They don’t really have a function do they ?
I got some after gouging the sill on my old van. I see them as a sacrifice to the kerb gods.

There is no point to them really, just aesthetics i guess. Same way as there no function to a painted bumper over a plastic one, just looks better to some. They arnt on my van anymore, I have side skirts, some do rust yes.... but not sure if the newer ones are better. Couldn't comment on the longevity of them, as these we on my van when i got it and but took them off after 2 months. No rust, they were new on though previous owner said.

There was a pic on this very forum a week or so back, some poor owner had caught a high kerb and gouged the sill. Side bars might very well have saved the bodywork.
