Fuel gauge won’t go above 1/4

Filled the van up Sunday last week and have covered about 120 miles or so….yesterday I noticed it was sat at 1/2 tank, obviously concerned so checked for any leaks etc but nothing found.

Have just been and filled it to be sure it’s not loosing and sure enough couldn’t even get £30 in the tank.

Any ideas? Have been on a rough as hell windfarm so wondering if something is loose or jammed?

had a diesel heater fitted?

tank sensor been put back in wrong?

brim the tank till full,. . . then see whats what. the level should be at the top?

No not got a heater or anything.

Got under the tank and gave the tank a couple of kicks and that appears to have done the job, back to reading full ha ha

Great fix! Next check when you realize the new morning routine includes getting under the van to kick the tank
