Front threshold question

I installed the 12mm ply foor and altro flooring today, just wondering what you all have done where the altro flooring meets the front rubber mat behind the seats?
have you just left it like that or have you fitted a metal strip over the join? Im thinking a strip of some kind will protect the edge of the altro flooring.

We fitted a standard carpet strip - there's a range of colours and styles available.
