Got onto vw customer care but they are saying that the Arm rests back in 2017 only came standard with the panel vans and not the Kombi’s?
Why I don’t know?
Not sure if they’re are talking bull but just looked on my original invoice and it states on there arm rests to drivers side free of charge so back down to the main dealers where i bought the van.

Thats crap mate my kombi has armrests on the drivers seat, standard fit

Thanks Pauly and without boring you with this, just trying to get to the bottom of this, mine is a 17 plate Highline Kombi with a 2 + 1 seating in the front. What year is yours and do you have the same set up in the front please

Mine is a 65 plate kombi highline with 2+1 in the front

Mine's a 67 Trendline, originally a panel van and has armrests as standard... eventually I will remember the right one is down before I jump out of the door...eventually.
