Front bumper spray

im looking to spray the inserts on the front bumper of my t6.1 gloss black will this effect the ACC radar on the front if i did this ? Thanks in advance

Probably. I wouldn't be spraying that bit, it throws an error if it gets a bit of muck on it.

No it wont, or at least mine is not impacted by being painted gloss black. Only time I have issues is when it snows. Nothing else impacts my ACC.

depends on what for. My van been in for warranty work and is reasonably modified and most definetely noticeablly modified to even an untrained eye yet no issues with warranty on those items as they were not modified.

I agree if the component is not modified then there is no reason to deny warranty but painting a radar sensor is unlikely to be one of those cases.

However The radar sensor is behind the grill and is not painted as such when painting the bumper / grill or the dog bones.

Thankfully I don’t have a radar sensor but I was working of the premise that Post #1 was based on some logic, perhaps I was misguided.
