Front brake assist error

Hello All

Has anyone had any error messages from the front assist radar?
I had the bumper colour coded to the van body colour and keep getting
Error messages . Obscured / unavailable. Van T6.1 Startline.
Do i need to calibrate the sensor?
Is it possible to calibrate the sensor?
Is it damaged?

When you say colour coded what did they use?

It sounds like they've used something that obscures the radar...

Have they painted or wrapped in front of the radar? Have they left any masking tape on it? Maybe it was knocked out of alignment or was unplugged when they removed bumper?

I don’t know about the T6.1 but my Passat needs to go to the dealer to be realigned as it needs specific targets to sense rather than just a software adjustment. I had the same warnings on the Passat and it was due to a broken mount that holds the radar (same as part 3 on the pic), maybe worth looking in the radar box to see if anything has come loose. The adjustment bolts on the mount corrode and crack the plastic. I managed to fix the mount and the radar sorted itself out after a couple of drives.
