Free fuel

Ok so thread title may be a little optimistic but it made you look any way!
Just wondering if anyone else’s van does this or indeed I have a problem
Every time I get down to a quarter of a tank around 100 mile range on dash when I start van again needle goes up slightly and range gets bigger usually around extra 25 miles hence free fuel in my eyes

I've seen mine do something similar. It'll show 2 days worth (to me) of fuel left when I park up for the night then I start it up the following day and it's showing 3 days worth of fuel but it still only lasts me 2 days. Just an oddity so I always go off what it shows at the end of a drive.
