Fixing Coat Hooks

I want to fit to retractable coat hooks to the inside of the van. I have the hooks but was wondering what screws to use and how not to damage the veneer/plywood.

Without seeing them, where you are fixing them and into what it’s very difficult to help

Basically two screws into veneer wood finish 25 mm thickness

Basically two screws into veneer wood finish 25 mm thickness

I would use either 20mm wood screws or 25mm depending on the thickness of the light housing.
