Fitting the OEM Auxillary Heating Ductwork

Okay, to explain what's going on: The original VW heater outlet is 90mm (intake is 75mm btw).
The D2, St2000, and 2kw Planar/aliexpress heater outlet is 60mm.

To connect the 2kw heater to the original b-pillar ducting you can do the following:

2kw heater -> 60mm flexible metal duct (usually supplied with the heater) -> 60/90mm adapter -> rubber part of the VW duct.

The Webasto adapter part number: 9011011 / 1320760 / 9011011C / 1320760A

Can anyone confirm the correct part number for a B-Pillar Trim Cover to suit a Caravelle in black, I have searched everywhere and really struggling. standard part number below for reference
  • B-Pillar Trim Cover = 7E0 867 292L 92W

Webasto pumps like a DP30 cannot be used on Eberspachers, totally different pumping rates.
Hi I am fitting a used oem 3kw 2016 eberspacher heater to my 2019 van. I have the overhead display for the webasto water heater and hope to use that to control the air heater.

Is there a generic fuel pump which I can use that will communicate with the van. The 7e0963303A seems to be the right pump but is very expensive.

I’m trying to do full oem retrofit and replace a 2D planar heater. The controller really annoys me and it doesn’t keep the van warm enough with the California pop top.

Yes, there are cheaper second hand original options. Look for Eberspacher 12v pumps that have 1-4 kw label on them

Btw, I think I will make the doorstep grille available on amazon, probably in 1-2 months.

Your overhead display is not compatible with your OEM air heater.

That sounds like trouble why is the overhead controller not compatible?

Car is T6 not 6.1.

6 has 3kw ebersbacher and 6.1 has the 3,5kw erbersbacher heater or at least that’s my understanding

I’m worried now, you said the heater is not compatible with the controller.

I was just about to buy the missing parts. There’s no need to do that if this isn’t going to work.

I thought I was on the right path, all part versions are a similar age/series and could have been fitted together from factory 🫣

Did you mean that I would have a problem because the configuration of my webasto water heater which is operated from the roof top screen?

So I just found Autoterm in France actually sell plastic templates for the cut in the B pillar:

30329.webp
It's only 13 EUR + postage to where I am in Germany. My plan is to copy this and produce a paper template for the downloads section here....

Looking to do this mod myself, but can anyone confirm the specs of the screws required for the B Pillar & Front Step ?
I have had a google search and cant find anything concreate, are they just generic bodywork fixings or something VW specific ?

2x Screws for B-pillar duct = N90739703
6x Screws for front step duct = N90879402

I will try to find some screws to measure

3d printed grilles, now with a flat one for the b pillar

They are both the usual generic thread screws from memory that are used on plastic parts on the van
N90739703 Porsche TAPPING SCREW
N90879402 Porsche Hexagon socket head panel bolt
PS ignore the Porsche reference there about 50-60 pence each

Also all the ducting for 159 EUR + shipping looks like a good deal. I would probably go this route if I did another van.
Yeah I paid that from Volkswagen gate in Germany on Amazon, also can get the steps with the grills in on eBay for like 30 EUR here

Not perfect, but maybe this helps someone. It doesn't account for the curvature so maybe add a few mm. I don't have a scanner yet, else I would upload at 100% scale
