Fitting fire extinguisher

Hello, I bought one of these and thinking about where to fit it in a Cali T6.1. Would it be possible to drill holes here and fit it or what's your suggestion? 1000064028.jpg1000064029.jpg

I fitted mine on the front of the front seat structure - a bit smaller than the Aldi one but one specifically for multi combustible materials found in motor vehicles.

Mine is the same as @RobertO2023 a multi-purpose extinguisher, and in the same place, seat frame of passenger seat. I wanted to be able to reach it when cooking or if there is a lithium battery incident.

If there's a lithium battery incident your best defence is distance between you and it - the nature of the chemical reaction is such they create their own oxygen, and lots of it, to the extent they will burn merrily when completely submerged in water.

For any other fire in the van, they're a good idea. I'ver a Chubb in the front that was gifted to me, and another in the rear (I can't recall the make) intended for vehicle fires.

I have 2, one is on the B pillar behind the driver's seat & the other is on the floor on the RHS (as viewed from outside) of the side door.

I think you’re right @Sasquatch, a good general principle for all fires is distance. LiFePO4 do seem to be a lot safer though

And these extinguishers do seem to be designed for lithium batteries, but I wouldn’t put my life on it.
