Fiamma f45s

Just fitted,,but the fiamma logo is at the front of the awning case over the passenger door.
See some with the logo at the back.
Which should it be.??
Obviously too late now just curious.

Mine is on driver’s side....logo is over driver’s door

Either, no right way.

FWIW, you can have the winding mechanism at the front or rear

I thought that if a F45 is fitted on the left side the winding mechanism was at the back. Opposite if fitted on the right side.

Is that not always the case?

A couple of days ago I saw a T6 with NS mounted Fiamma awning, (exactly the same as my old one), but the winding mechanism was at the rear, mine was at the front so it must come either handed

Received this brochure yesterday but only just seen the details of the F45s

All the illustrations that I can see on Fiamma literature show the winder mechanism on the right hand end when looking at a vehicle side no matter if it's mounted on the left or right of the vehicle. Mounting brackets may vary depending on which side it is fitted.

Might be explained by the UK and Euro target audience?
The F45s awning I saw on the T6 in front of me was mounted on the nearside and had a rear winder. I thought at the time that I’d not seen that before.

Mine was nearside mounted and had a front winder, ie at the other end. So it’s certainly out there.

Strange, I've never seen one with the winder on the left (when looking at the side of the vehicle) even in Europe.

The three that I have fitted on the left side of a T5 or T6 have all had the winder at the rear.

So winder to the back or front?
It doesn’t really matter, whatever suits you, but one thing, when you deploy it, make the front pole the tallest, slightly higher than the top of the door. That way you don’t accidentally scrape the top door edge when you forget and open it and you also get water run off to the rear.
