Talk to transporter HQ about the revo, they helped develop it and will know it more than other dealers perhaps?- the Kombi it seems isn’t limited to the daft 116mph (which is 107) tho.
Revo seemingly haven’t come across it* suggesting the limit was set by ‘an owner’.
This is a hard / behind a firewall limiter.

A LOT of ‘us’ that are playing with the transporter seemingly start with a kombi - not a lot of plain panel vans getting lots of attention it appears. Most of the higher spec run out T6.1’s were Kombi’s, making a high spec plain panel van a bit of a unicorn if you’re trying to buy used.
Top tip on the cooler tho. It does get hot in my normal use (which isn’t typically lugging work stuff in town) and will run the fan a bit afterwards (ignition off). It’ll likely get a bigger charge/intercooler and obvs the oil cooler will be easy at that point. Looks like my preferred intercooler guys do an oil cooler too.
There isn’t a breather for the oil, it vents into the sort of sealed up rocker, hence in winter there’s good amount of mayo at the filler. The breathers are often overlooked in terms of oil temps so might have a look at that too. (I.e if there’s a route for it / option to have an old fashioned vent, it’ll let a fair bit of heat out)

Yes I've looked at the charge cooler also, it probably needs that and an oil cooler to be honest. They run a fair amount of boost!
Never thought about the breather but that's a good idea
