Exhaust/dpf sensor bolt sizes?

Hi, hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I'm at a stage where I need to remove the DPF and give it a good clean to reduce the soot level.
I've managed to undo the probe sensor but the next two a spanner will not do and could do with the right size/tool to loosen them. (both different sizes just to be awkward)the
Does anyone know the correct size tools for the job?

The other option is to leave in situ and clean away but not sure if that would cause more of an issue. The plan is to jet wash it after flushing with a detergent.

Pic attached of the offending sensors circled in reddpf.png

Any help appreciated

Normally they are 21 mm and I use a lambda sensor socket, they are FT normally

Soot mass just reached 50g had been wanting to do a driving regen but VCDS wouldn't accept the security code it provided. I'm stuck in limp mode with the eml illuminated and the coil light flashing.

Trying to wash it out to cure the issue but thinking if VCDS won't accept the security code i'm not going to be able to reset the levels on it.

A bit curious about VCDS part. Any chance to share VCDS Auto-Scan please?

Also interested in engine blockmap data.
VCDS -> Applications -> Controller Channel Map ->

Tick/fill boxes as above and hit Go.
VCDS flashes screens for a moment (when finished hit "Done, Go Back") and there will be file blockmap-01-... in folder C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Logs\....

I'm having no joy getting the blockmap, it flashed up the engine screen but it doesn't save anything to the log. I'm not sure if this is because I've only got the old style cable and the van is too new.

Autoscan as follows:

I'm having no joy getting the blockmap, it flashed up the engine screen but it doesn't save anything to the log. I'm not sure if this is because I've only got the old style cable and the van is too new.
True - the old cable doesn't communicate properly with these EU6 engines. It's been verified that e,g. codings do not work. I'm afraid also the other changes are limited/restricted.
More here --> T6 oem MFSW retrofit. Unable to access Engine 01 to activate

However, I believe you still could extract some data one by one. E.g. the following would be of interest.
From thread https://www.t6forum.com/threads/t6-and-dpf-yes-that-old-chestnut.26873/

The last two that I somehow missed:
Ash load limit 110g
Coordinates release for DPF - Condition met

Have you looked into adaptations? There are a few which probably are related.

Curious what you have got in channel IDE01711-Blocking of particle filter regeneration?

IDE01096-Particulate Filter Statistics0
IDE01711-Blocking of particle filter regenerationnot active
IDE04617-Protective functionEnabled
IDE07903-Adaptation of ash mass8.01 g

It turns out the two sensors were 22mm and 24mm. It had to have a forced regen whilst being driven and values reset to sort it.

A bit of a costly day with that and then upgrading to a hex v2 interface so I can sort it myself if I ever need to in future.

Appreciate everyone's input.

Did you check the sensor feed pipes have to watch these as the block up too giving high soot readings

Did you check the sensor feed pipes have to watch these as the block up too giving high soot readings

They were clear. I think it was all down to the previous owner doing short journeys and not having enough fuel to ever let it regen. VCDS came back with something like 700+km since last regen.

when you flush the dpfs do you end up cleaning all three boxs on the exhaust system, main dpf at front of course and the 2 smaller ones behind it

out of interest what chemicals did you use to flush, and did the cleaning bring down the soot values??

I only flushed the dpf itself and sprayed it liberally with traffic film remover. It sat for some time and then it got rinsed with a commercial pressure washer.

It made no difference to the values.
You can buy a proper dpf cleaner that you leave to soak in the dpf.

If I'd have had the latest version of VCDS I'd have been able to force regen it. As it was it ended up at dpf doctor and they rectified it.
