Engine Noise ID

Van has been in for an MOT this morning, passed with no issues. They have however said that they can hear a knocking noise coming from the sump/gearbox area when the van is up on the ramp.

Bit of background;
T6 EU6 102 Bhp with 62k on the clock, had a new key programmed by VW 4 weeks ago during which time they carried out an inspection as they do with everything that comes through. They noted to my partner that the oil level was high, following this info I used a syringe to remove around 400ml of oil with the thought of keeping an eye on the level.

Put it in for MOT this morning and also asked them to drop the oil and filter so that I could be sure of the oil quality and keep an eye on things in case something was wrong, they rang me prior to the oil change and suggested that I get it looked at by a VW specialist (I am booked in to one for Monday next week).

When picking up the van from MOT they put it back on the ramp and allowed me underneath to take a video and have a listen, is anyone able to offer any advice as to what I may be faced with?

Cheers

Any cost estimates ? :/
One hit on the Forum search. Note that included the cylinder.
Price will vary a lot and it maybe worth travelling, personally I‘d choose an independent clutch specialist with good reviews who use genuine parts.
I just payed £1200 for cylinder,clutch and flywheel fitted.Not Vw parts as did not want more rubbish fitted .only done 67000 miles .Vw wanted £2100 for the same with there poorly made parts .

Thanks @Loz and @DXX appreciate the quick responses, been in a bit of mild panic this morning fearing the absolute worse.

I will speak with my VW specialist on Monday and see what they say/quote for a replacement

Thanks again
