Engine cuts out when slowing down to a junction.

Has anyone had an issue with the engine cutting out when you slow down to a junction. it doesn't happen a lot but when it does its a little bit of a bum clenching moment as the steering goes extremely heavy. Once i was pulling in to a lay-by to take a call and as i slowed down and dipped the clutch it just stopped, i was still moving but slow .... twice its happened since the that last when approaching a large roundabout again not a very nice experience

i'm going to book it in to the dealer to have a look at as this could turn in to something much larger that just the engine cutting out if it happened at the wrong moment.

@lough90, take a look at this thread, sounds like it could be related to your issue.

or it could be that you are in too high a gear for the speed you're going, and the engine stalls, this has happened to me 2 or 3 times

I get what you are say Stephen but this is happening to people who cant remember the last time they stalled any other vehicle.

I'm in the stall club too! Sure it's down to being in to high a gear when it's happened to me.
