Enable Android Auto without hefty dealer charge?

The only option apart from dealership is a local specialitst/hacker. The advantage of this kind of approach is that you are getting all of your infotainment features activated in one go. There is one guy in Ireland who does it for €180=£150.

Great thread but i'm in same boat as below screenshots so guess i need someone with a VCDS

   Just try to hold you menu button for a little bit longer.
   In some cases you may need to activate developer mode with VCDS in adaptations under Infotainment.
