Emissions Control/engine Management Safety Light

At the end of the day your vehicle is still under warranty so VW will sort it if required

So got the Carista tool and ran a diagnostic. 5 faults came back with these codes. Does anybody know what they mean? Also the the ones that say pending, do I need to keep the ignition on until it’s not pending? Thanks

Google the p numbers and have a look at the ross-tech wiki results.

It looks like the van is moaning about the p0471 and a problem with the reading from a exhaust pressure sensor.

And DPF pressure sensor.

It could be a duff sensor. Or a poor connection. Or a blockage on the DPF side. Or something else.

So looks like it's ok to drive for now but needs to be booked into VW for a repair soon.

And Re the pending codes....

These codes are referred to aspending or maturing codes. Pending codes are caused by intermittent faults or faults that the PCM needs to see happen in two consecutive warm-up cycles to set the code. If the fault does not reappear within 40 warm-up cycles, the code will be cleared from memory.

So no you don't have to leave the ignition on.

Keep us posted on what vw say when you book It in. =)
