Electrical issues after liquid spill - all lights on dash illuminated.

Hi All, I'm new to the group and would like your advice.
I've bought a T6 2016 and nearly every light is flashing on the dash, it's been plugged in and not showing any faults? The previous owner spilt pop from the cup holder in the dash board, its flashing service light, oil light, brakes and hand brake, i had all brakes and discs replaced but still no good, the central locking has also just started playing up, locking itself straight away when opening. I need to be quick to open door.
Has anybody had similar issues or can someone please recommend someone in or near Tamworth that I can take it to. TIA

Do you know what was plugged in to read the fault codes ?
It doesn’t sound right that you have warning lights, but no fault codes.

I dont, I bought the van from a friend so I'm going on what he said. Sorry for being so vague.

If it was mine, then before I gave it to someone, I would do 2 things.

Firstly this:

Secondly, take it for a drive for 10 miles or so to see what happens. The vehicle may clear the issue itself if the faults have gone away - this happened recently to someone on here.

When you get back, shut it down, lock it up, and then come back to it 10 mins later to see what’s happening.

Also note that some faults can appear it the battery is faulty or heavily discharged.

Thank you Pete I will try the discharge to see if it resets the faults, it's been driven for long journeys for quite a period of time like this, just wondering if the spilt pop has caused an issue with corroding cables. Thanks for your help.

Strange similar thing happened to my E60 BMW when I spilt acid Brick cleaner in the boot and it shorted out the PDC control unit ... which in turn lit up the dash like a Christmas tree wit all sorts of strange things happening .. hazards flashing and unable to turn off wipers the same and worse engine wouldn’t switch off with start stop button which I eventually switched off by frantic double pressing of the start stop on. I the disconnected the pDC controller and left overnight .. all good in the morning less the damaged pdc whic I replaced. Where exactly was the pop split into .. maybe similar effect as my pdc controller and nay narrow down fault finding ... Modern cars have all kinds of digital controllers which will not be happy to be flooded out or shorted with acidic liquid and the ‘brain’ will not now how to react seeing multiple shorted inputs which ordinarily would not be possible .. that was my conclusion as in my scenario

Hi and thanks for replying, I will give this ago, makes sense, let the brain fully drain down and power up "like a reset". The pop was spilt above the steering wheel, there's a cup holder in the dash board, I've took the display out stripped down and sprayed with contact cleaner but still the same, I'm praying it's an easy or cheap fix
