Electric folding mirrors

hi guys I have a team grey velle with electric folding mirrors, my question is can I get them to fold by locking the van from the key fob? I thought they did this automatically but can't get it to work.

Unfortunately the short and sad answer on that is they don't. That being said i do believe it is possible with addition of a control unit and a bit of re-wiring as a couple of members have done.

As above, it's possible but wiring changes are needed and a control unit/interface added

That's a bummer I know the t5s can be coded to do this. Do you know what members did this mod so I can get sum more info plz

I received my Van yesterday, haven’t had time to plug in Carista but the 1st thing I did at the dealer was press and hold the lock button ....... the wing mirrors fold!
Build date 18/12/17 for a Australia (Euro 5)

Our latest T6 collected 1st March 2018 has folding mirrors on the keyfob.

My other T6 collected 1st March 2017 has to be folded from inside.

My mirrors fold on lock 03/16 had to get Loz to code it for me though

Hi, Do you need to do something to get the mirrors to fold on lock?

At the moment it will only fold if manually twisted from inside. T6.

Press and hold lock if the mirrors don’t fold you will have to get them coded to do it using vcds

MY16 = coding
MY17 = hardware required
MY18 = does it as standard

MY 18. Mine folds on ‘long press lock’ as do windows & sunroof close.

VW change over summer time so MY19 is coming (think they swap in August but not sure)
